JSW Group is investing ₹12,000 crore in a 500,000-ton copper smelter in Odisha by 2028-29, scaling to 1 MMT by 2033-34. The project will cut India’s copper imports and support JSW’s EV and battery plans, competing with Adani’s $1.2B smelter in Gujarat.
